If you continue west past the resort of Karlovassi you will find Potami, an excellent long pebble and sand beach with good road access if you are driving a cheap hire car.
The two best beaches on the Greek island of Samos are considered, Micro Seitani and Megalo Seitani, these are accessible only by boat or on foot. Boat excursions depart daily from the pier in Karlovassi.
