The Casino de Mallorca is due to be relocated from its current home in the lively holiday hotspot of Magaluf, Calvia, to the Port Pi centre in the capital Palma, this is due to occur by the end of February 2011.
The Port Pi centre's cinema complex is being converted to house the relocated casino, the refurbishment is now in its final stages. Once completed there will be a total area of 2700 square feet on two levels, with the ground floor area some 2300 sq ft being devoted to gaming tables and a restaurant which will no doubt be popular with the islands tourists who are taking a cheap holiday in Mallorca.
The casino's current location near Magaluf was thought to be too far from the main centre of Palma de Mallorca.
