A group of travel and tourism students from Weymouth College in Dorset reaped the full benefit of their course recently when they enjoyed a holiday in Mallorca.
The lucky bunch were sent to the lively area of Playa de
Palma in order to get a personal experience of tourism in the popular destination, the Dorset Echo reports.
Mallorca offers a number of excursions and entertainment options to visitors and the travelling students were treated to a number of them, including trips to the resorts of Puerto Pollenca and Alcudia.
Here they enjoyed an experience of some quintessentially Spanish fare, including tapas, paella and sangrias.
Student Laura McCready told the newspaper that the trip was a "great experience".
College travel and tourism lecturer Janine Hudson agreed, saying: "The trip was a great experience for both students and staff and the five days just flew by.
"The students were able to practice their Spanish language skills and get first-hand experience of what a world class tourist resort can offer."
