Record October temperatures in Malaga

MalagaThe Spanish press has reported that the Weather in Spain has been the Hottest this October for 67 years

The average temperature in October was reported to be 21.4 degrees centigrade

Figures released by the Spanish Met Office (AEMET), show that October 2009 in Malaga on the Costa Del Sol was by some degree (Excuse the pun) the warmest since 1942. The average temperature on the Costa Del Sol in October was 21.4 degrees centigrade, which is only three degrees less than in the summer months. This is also almost one degree hotter than the nearest warmest October going back as far as 1947, which was in the October of 2001. The hottest October on record was 26.4 degrees centigrade in 1946. AEMET forecasts that on Thursday November the 5th temperatures in the Malaga area may drop three degrees, but are expected to rise yet again the following week.
