Holiday breaks to destinations like
Mahon in
Menorca are cheaper than they were a year ago, according to new research.
The study by a travel agency discovered that the cost of flights to 15 of the top 30 destinations, as well as accommodation once there, has fallen.
Spain is a favourite with holidaymakers as flights from the UK depart regularly and within two hours of take off, Brits can find themselves in a completely different and much warmer environment.
And more people should be able to afford these holidays now after the research discovered that on average, a family of four travelling to
Menorca will pay £240 less this year than they did last year.
Meanwhile, a holiday in Mallorca will cost £168 less.
A spokesman for the company commissioning the report said: "This is good news for everyone, especially parents with school-age children as prices have fallen throughout the whole of the school period."
