A bus service has been launched to help get York residents to exotic destinations such as
Mahon and
Alicante.
AirCoach is now shuttling holidaymakers from York railway station to Leeds Bradford International Airport, giving residents of the north east an easier route to sunshine and relaxation.
And the bus service already appears to have been a success with locals, with one passenger telling local paper the Press: "It's always been such a hassle to get to Leeds Bradford Airport, so I usually go from Manchester because the trains there are so good.
"It's been a comfortable journey on this coach though and doesn't take too long."
The Federation of Small Businesses recently released a statement that claimed poor transport connections around Leeds Bradford International Airport were forcing passengers to fly to their destination from Manchester Airport.
However, the launch of the bus service should alleviate some of the pressure on the roads around the airport and bring passengers back into its terminals.
