Reports show that in the popular holiday resort of Protaras on Monday of this week, over a dozen people reported seeing a strange orange light passing slowly through the sky, before rising over a hill.
"It was beautiful and mesmerizing," reported a holiday maker, "It was fairly high in the sky and moved with no sound, it also had a beautiful white aura."
The mysterious flying object then appeared to float from Famagusta towards Protaras and Fig Tree Bay, but was also later seen by other baffled holiday makers over Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa famous for its golden beaches and fantastic nightlife..
Some weeks ago witnesses watched an oval shaped object accelerate very quickly and then swing from side to side near to the popular holiday resort of Larnaca beach, that was then followed by reports of a 'comet shaped craft' seen hovering in the skies.
All in all there has been a large increase in UFO sightings reported in Cyprus over the past twelve months and the Troodos mountan range which is visited by holidaymakers looking for a day in the cool of the mountains as a change from the sunshine and heat of the beach resorts has been the location of dozens of reported "UFO incidents" over the past fifty years.
