Hurghada's growing club scene is putting Egypt on the clubbing map, even while the resort remains a sunshine destination of diving and family activities, claims a travel publication.
Recent years have seen an opening of the Ministry of Sound: The Beach club and a Hed Kandi Beach Bar setting up by the sea in downtown
Hurghada.
Its opening party featured big name DJs and showed off the facilities which revellers can enjoy day and night: an outdoor private beach where drinks can be sipped while sitting in the sun and an indoor dancefloor.
But most tourists still come for the resorts which are a short rental car ride from the city centre.
These offer different levels of luxury accommodation and all feature the relaxing year-round sun and clear water of the Red Sea.
Sharm El Sheik,
Hurghada's twin resort across the crystalline waters, offers similar experiences.
Holidaymakers can take cruises in glass bottomed boats, or actually get wet themselves and snorkel or dive through the water.
