Sharm El Sheikh hotel 'best in Africa'
Sharm El Sheikh is home to the best hotel in the Middle East and Africa, according to Gallivanter's Guide.The 2007 Gallivanter's Awards for Excellence named the Four Seasons in Sharm El Sheikh the best hotel or resort in the region.
Recent years have brought a number of accolades for the Four Seasons from the Gallivanter's Guide, including a spot in the top five resorts in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in 2006.
As a brand, Four Seasons was named the best hotel group worldwide, with ten first-place listings across all categories.
Lyn Middlehurst, editor of the Gallivanter's Guide, described the chain as the "benchmark for excellence" in the 21st century.
Sharm El Sheikh is one of the world's most popular hotspots for luxury travel, with many people heading there to explore its famous diving locations.
