Portugal: the 'perfect holiday'
Golfing enthusiasts are being urged to head to Portugal for the Easter break, with one national newspaper describing the country as a "golfer's paradise".The Sun has named Portugal as one of the top destinations to visit in Europe, particularly for those who want to try their luck on the golf course.
Faro is located near to a large number of golf courses but has plenty else to offer holidaymakers looking for a relaxing, sunny break.
The city is the bustling centre of the sunny Algarve and its old town is particularly popular with foreign visitors wanting to soak up the Portuguese atmosphere.
Also highlighted in the newspaper are Portugal's numerous sandy beaches which stretch for miles along the Atlantic coast.
The Sun says that away from the country's urban hubs are "quiet coastal walks and picturesque fishing villages and harbours" adding that Portugal has "everything you could need for the perfect holiday".
