Young travellers head online for info
An online community for students and youth travellers has been launched by STA Travel. The community allows young people to swap tips, information, videos and pictures of their travels and give potential tourists ideas on the best places to go.
This is designed to allow them to create their ideal trip and work out where they really want go and explore, whether it be enjoying some sunshine in destinations such as Tenerife and Zante or travelling further a-field to places like Orlando Sanford in America and Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
Scott Hyden, president of STA Travel in north America, said. "For the past 28 years our business has been focused around creating memorable experiences for cost conscious students and young travellers.
"This community enables us to do so in a manner that resonates with today's Web 2.0 generation."
And to celebrate the launch of the online community, entitled STA Travel 193, the firm has opened a competition offering people using the service the opportunity to win a 28-day global adventure in four countries of their choice.
