BA strike on hold for the time being

They have instead called on their union (Unite ) to attempt a negotiated settlement with BA over proposed crew cuts and changes to working arrangements.

At a Unite members meeting yesterday it unanimously backed the work of their negotiating team in attempting to resolve the current dispute with the company, the union have said.

This meeting effectively licensed the union's negotiating team to continue their endeavours to reach a negotiated settlement in the row, and only to propose strike dates for authorisation if they are unable to reach such an agreement through negotiation.
