Road works near Luton Airport


On line travel agency airflights.co.uk is advising holiday makers using Luton International airport to allow extra time for their journey. Renovation work of a bridge over Newlands Road on the M1 spur near Luton is being carried out and consequently one lane only will be open in each direction, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until the work is completed during the spring of 2010. A 40 mph speed limit will also be in operation and some overnight closures may be expected. Authorities are advising Drivers using the M1 spur to allow extra time for their journeys. Airflights are advising people flying on cheap flights from Luton to allow plenty of time so that they can relax and give themselves plenty of time for airport check in.
