Total Financial Protection
Here at Airflights.co.uk we understand just how important it is for you, our customers to book with absolute confidence knowing that your flight booking is financially secure.
Airflights have teamed with IPP (International Passenger Protection) to create a framework that provides you with Financial Protection in the very unlikely event of the corporate failure of your No Frills airline, thus affording you total peace of mind.
This will enable us to make a new booking with an alternative Airline (subject to availability) so that you can continue with your travel plans.
With a Charter Flight, which of course are already covered by the Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA's) - ATOL protection scheme when sold as a flight only. With a Charter Flight your money is fully protected by the CAA.
So just how does it work?
We sell different types of flights, all of which have protection.
No Frills Flights - all No Frills flights available on this web site are protected via an insurance scheme arranged by us FREE to you at the time of booking. We will re-book your flights (subject to availability) with an alternative supplier up to the value of £1,500 per person and then claim a refund from our designated insurance company.
Charter flights - all charter flights available on this web site, when booked as a flight only, are protected under the ATOL scheme of financial protection operated by the Civil Aviation Authority ('CAA'). Refunds (less ATOL protection fee and Airflights Direct agency fees) are provided by the CAA directly to you. We at Airflights will assist you with re booking an alternative and with making a claim to the CAA for the return of your original monies.
Scheduled Flights - Scheduled flights advertised and sold on our website are covered by the flight consolidators (For whom we act as agent) own Airline Failure Insurance.
What happens if an airline fails while I am on holiday?
In all cases your flight monies are protected. You may continue your stay If the airline fails, then either the CAA will fly you home (if it is an ATOL protected flight – Charter), OR our insurance will allow us to purchase a seat for you on a flight up to the value of £1,500 per person if you are booked with us on a No Frills flight. In the event that you have purchased a Scheduled flight from us and the Airline fails the flights consolidator (For whom we act as agent) will cover the cost of the flight or portion of the flight with their own Airline Failure Insurance.
Am I protected if Airflights.co.uk were to become insolvent?
Yes of course. In this very unlikely event, our ABTA membership ensures that your booking will be covered and monies held by us on your behalf are secure.
Do any fees apply?
Please note some fees do apply; as the amount paid includes the cost of product/service, agency service fees and transaction fees. Only the cost of product/service is covered by the protection described above and all fees are non-refundable.
